Aespa Opens a New Chapter in Their Universe with the Release of the Full Album 'LEMONADE'

Aespa's Musical Grammar of Transforming Adversity into Opportunity: The Narrative of 'LEMONADE'

Aespa has officially announced their massive comeback with the release of their second full-length album, 'LEMONADE,' on May 29, 2026, at 1 PM KST. With this album, the group—comprising Karina, Winter, Ningning, and Giselle—continues their unparalleled presence in the K-POP market by further expanding their established worldview.

This second full album consists of 10 tracks, including the title song 'LEMONADE' and the pre-release track 'WDA (Whole Different Animal).' As the prelude to a new season in Aespa's universe, this work is expected to demonstrate the breadth of their musical spectrum.

The title track, 'LEMONADE,' is an electronic dance song centered on synth-bass sounds. The core theme of the track stems from the Western proverb, "If life gives you lemons, make lemonade." It encapsulates Aespa’s unique positive message of turning life's hardships into opportunities, turning adversity into a turning point.

The music video is set within the parallel worlds of Aespa’s universe. It depicts the process of Aespa transforming a dark world through the P.O.S (the passage for dimensional travel), which was opened due to a 'Lemon Bug' entering their parallel world, with sensational visual beauty. The performance also features kitschy and concise choreography that aligns with the song’s theme, aiming to enhance mass-appeal and addictiveness.

Regarding the motto of this album, Aespa expressed their goal for this comeback, stating, "Just like the album's motto of comparing trials to lemons and turning them into delicious lemonade, we hope everyone who listens to our music gains positive energy."
